I’m originally a farm boy from rural TN, but I’ve lived in Denver, Colorado for almost 20 years. I’ve been a professional musician for decades (sing, play guitar and write songs), a roofing salesman and project manager for 8 years and a general contractor for the last year. Somewhat recently divorced from a woman I never married, I’m a single dad doing my best to help raise the next generation of hard working Americans. I consider myself very spiritual, highly intelligent, laid back and humorous (at least in my own mind). I heard someone once say “If you’re not a liberal in your 20s you have no heart, but if you’re not a conservative in your 40s you have no brain.” I’d say that rings true in my case. I’ve dealt with my share of adversity in my life, but all in all I definitely consider myself VERY BLESSED by my Heavenly Father. Currently, I don’t drink or do drugs, but I’ve certainly done my share of partying in my life. I’m very mechanically inclined and handy around the house. I learned that from my Pawpaw. I also like to sew, which I learned from my Grammy. I believe in being prepared and would go as far as to call myself a prepper. I’ll put it this way - when this Chinese Virus started, I didn’t have to run out and fight the crowds for N-95 masks. I already had some stored for myself and my two children. I also have enough stored gas to get myself and my kids back to the family homestead in TN without having to buy any along the way. I like guns, but I’m not a gun nut. I’m currently satisfied with my tactical 12 gauge, my 9mm handgun and the AK-47 I inherited from my dad. I do have a concealed carry permit, but I rarely carry. I love to be outside, but I stay in the shade. Guess I hauled a little too much hay in the hot sun in my youth :) I often like to have music playing in the background (or foreground). I like to hunt, fish, hike, camp, ride bikes and snowboard but I don’t get to do it as much as I’d like. I also enjoy hunkering down in front of the TV for a couple of shows or a movie in the evening. I’m usually very outgoing and friendly, even to strangers. I like to be affectionate with my friends and loved ones. I vote republican, but I consider myself more of a libertarian. I’m very open-minded when it comes to people’s choices in their own lives as long as they’re not hurting anyone else. I have a passion for protecting the innocent from abuse, but I don’t mind letting kids make their own mistakes if they’re going to learn something from it.
